Restored Home in Sweden

Lots of Swedish houses lately here. Aren't they wonderful! This house was built in 1889 and is located in Hemse, southern Gotland, in Sweden. It belongs to Asa Hallin & Håkan Jacobsson. Asa runs the farm shop Kuriåsa and Håkan is a carpenter. Together they brought this fairy tale house back to life.

  2. Kifus,
What a pretty little house. I've noticed that there have been a couple of dining areas in previous homes that include a table and then a gate leg table as well. Good planning for a crowd?
    Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. I usually find that the main table isn't enough for everything I need when I have guests, so another one near by comes in very handy, and gate leg tables are so useful in many other ways, when your guests bring their children, or when you need a spare table for an outdoor event, or a space to make that jigsaw puzzle ... and so many other uses!

Have a great weekend you too!

    1. I wish I knew, Leslie. I only read that it was pigmented oil in the google translation but there wasn't any more information about it. It's so lovely, isn't it!

  5. I love all the rooms - the painted floors and my all time favourite is gingham fabric used on the chairs, etc. All, fresh, light and airy!

    Thank you Kifus
